syaoran: drops of water

No one else can replace you in my heart

I'm not sure how many people on my flist actually listen to Western music, but I got reminded of this yesterday night. There's this Dutch girl, Esmee Denters, who uploaded videos to Youtube where she's doing some covers from people and got really popular through that and even had several record labels approaching her. She's also doing the opening for Justin Timberlake's Europe tour :O It's so weird seeing someone from my country getting so much attention, since before, I've always thought I lived in a place almost no one knows XD

But yes, I got reminded of that when me and my sister found out a friend of ours started doing the same thing, which actually began more as a joke. It'll be interesting to see if he's going to get noticed as well or not haha~ While I love to sing myself, I would never have the courage to do something like that. I already have enough trouble mustering up the courage to sing at conventions :P

On the subject of music, after finishing watching Smiling Pasta last week, I started listening to its soundtrack a lot, and thanks to my sister got interested in Nicholas Teo's (张栋梁 in Chinese) music, who plays one of the main roles in the series. It's really weird to see his earlier music videos though, since he looks so different, which is mostly due to him having short hair. We ended up sleeping after 3AM, because we were looking for some of his songs and singing and everything, while I should've been studying for today's exam (which I most probably failed since it was too hard anyway). My sister is such a bad influence on me when she's here, but I still love her ♥

For those who are interested, I uploaded three of his songs (which I'm currently listening to a lot) ♥
Nicholas Teo - Dang Ni Gu Dan Ni Hui Xiang Qi Shui
Nicholas Teo - Ji Mo Bian Jie
Nicholas Teo - Bei Ji Xing De Yan Lei (aka Tears of Polaris, the ending theme from Smiling Pasta)
